FOOD CO-OP GOVERNANCE
The Food Co-op is governed by a set of by-laws and steered by its Board of Directors. Elections to the Board of Directors are held on an annual basis (see Annual Election in the menu at right to learn more about our elections). Members meet annually to discuss issues surrounding our co-operative (select Annual Meeting in the menu at right to learn more about our AGM).
To meet our Board of Directors and stay in touch with their activities select Board of Directors in the menu at right. You are encouraged to get involved with The Food Co-op by attending board meetings, by running for the Board of Directors, and by volunteering to work on a Board committee.
 BOYCOTT PROPOSAL
A proposal to boycott all products from Israel sold in The Food Co-op has been submitted to the Board of Directors.
Israeli products sold in the store: Peace Oil Olive Oil, Tropical Source mint chocolate bars, Glutino Pretzels (GF), Ener-G Pretzels (GF), bulk paprika, bulk pearled Israeli couscous, Masada Bath Salts.
Food Co-op members may comment about the proposed boycott by placing a comment card, available at the Board's board, in the Board's correspondence box. Members are invited to also comment at the 3rd Tuesday meeting on September 21. Members are encouraged to attend the 3rd Tuesday meeting rather than the September 7 regular board meeting as this meeting has been set aside specifically to discuss the boycott proposal. Please check back after September 1 for time and location of meeting.
